International organisations challenging discrimination

See Me - Scotland

See Me is Scotland's national campaign to end the stigma and discrimination of
mental ill-health.  The campaign is run by an alliance of five mental
health organisations: Highland Users Group, National Schizophrenia
Fellowship Scotland, Penumbra, Royal College of Psychiatrists Scottish
Division, and SAMH.  Launched in 2002, the campaign is fully funded by
the Scottish Government.  The campaign is based in Edinburgh and covers
the whole of Scotland.

Like Minds, Like Mine - New Zealand

Like Minds, Like Mine is a public health funded project in New Zealand to reduce the
stigma of mental health problems and the discrimination that people
with experience of mental health problems face everyday in the
community.

Sweden: Ambassadors challenging discrimination

Sweden is now planning diverse new programme, influenced by both Time to Change and the See Me campaign in Scotland. Above all, ambassadors with own experience of mental health problems will play a key part of the Swedish campaign.
