Pledge 2010
The Time to Change campaign has some exciting plans for 2010, and we want you to be part of them.
What’s happening?
On Monday 19 April, Time to Change launched the latest burst of national campaign activity across England. We will be running the following activity:
- A partnership with the Mirror, kicking off with ‘Time to Change week’ which began on 19 April. The partnership includes lots of Time to Change real life and celebrity stories in the paper, advertising, online (including a homepage takeover on Mon 19 and Fri 23 April), and a special eight-page Time to Change supplement in Tuesday 20 April’s edition.
- Online advertising – on popular news and lifestyle sites such as Yahoo, MSN, the Sun, and the Daily Mail, we’ll be running ads featuring some new celebrity supporters. We’ll also be advertising on Google and Facebook.
- ‘Schizo:The Movie’ in cinemas – the movie trailer that we launched online last summer will find a wider audience of 3 million cinemagoers, in more than 1750 cinema screens nationwide, from Friday 23 April. Find out if the trailer will be showing at a cinema near you! Some cinemas will also have supporting advertising on site, such as posters in foyers, washroom panels, and postcards. Read more about ‘Schizo: The Movie’ and watch it online here.
- London Underground - if you’re in London, look out for our new celebrity supporters on in-tube advertising – from Mon 10 May until Sun 23 May.
- PR – there will be PR activity nationally and regionally, including real life stories, coverage of ‘Schizo: The Movie’, and some visual pledge events.
We are even inviting people to share their story by becoming a media volunteer.
We have also launched our updated and improved 'pledge’ so that it now includes brand new features and ways for people to pledge their support for the campaign throughout the year. We already have over 3500 faces and we’re sure we’ll get lots more!

New resources to help you run your own local activity
With all this public-facing activity taking place nationally, it would be the ideal time to run your own local activity. To get you started, we have updated our toolkit so that it is now an online resource that includes even more ideas, tips, case studies and resources to help local organisations to run their own anti-stigma campaigning activity and Get Moving events. Take a look at the new and improved toolkit now!
And that’s not all, to help you put your ideas into practice, we have produced brand new ‘Campaign in a box’ kits that include items such as t-shirts, stickers, balloons, banners and leaflets - everything your organisation needs to run your own local campaign. These are available to order now. Find out more about the 'campaign in a box' kits and details on how to order yours.
